about us
DubEvents.club started from a simple but growing frustration: there was no longer a clear, central place to see what dub events were happening.
For a long time, finding sessions meant manually scrolling through social media, jumping between platforms, and actively searching the internet for flyers and event posts. Information was scattered, often shared last minute, and easy to miss unless you already followed the right pages or knew where to look. What should have been straightforward had become time-consuming and unreliable.
The project began as an attempt to address that gap, originally with a UK-only focus. We started by collecting event listings ourselves and sharing them through Instagram, manually checking pages and searching for sessions week by week. It was a hands-on process and worked up to a point, but it quickly became clear that keeping something like this accurate and consistent required more than one person working in isolation.
That’s when we connected with Paul from Dubcentral Sound System.
Dubcentral has long been a key reference point for the UK dub scene, particularly through the UK Dub Events Facebook group, where weekly sessions across the country are consistently promoted. At a time when there is no longer a dedicated central listing platform, that work has become essential. Paul’s knowledge of the UK scene, his consistency, and his willingness to collaborate played a crucial role in helping DubEvents.club develop into something more structured and sustainable.
While Dubcentral’s focus remains firmly UK-based, the collaboration helped clarify a wider need. The challenges around finding events aren’t unique to one country, and dub culture has always existed across borders. From that point, DubEvents.club began to expand into a global platform, open to sound systems, promoters, and communities worldwide — while still staying rooted in its original UK foundations.
DubEvents.club is not run for profit. We don’t make money from this project, and that has never been the intention. It exists purely for the love of the music and respect for the community — to help sound systems and promoters share their events more easily, and to give people a reliable place to see what’s happening, wherever they are.
This project is built on collaboration, shared effort, and commitment to the culture. Much respect to Dubcentral Sound System for their continued support of the UK scene, and to everyone worldwide who contributes by sharing events and keeping the community connected.
